"I had the pleasure of growing up with Brian while he
served in the Civil Air Patrol Squadron 101 of Levittown PA, as well as attending the Hawk
Mtn. summer survival school he commanded. I can honestly say that I Never
Ever met one so brilliant and caring as he, I was actually just 12 and he was 16, but for a
long long while he was one of my idols and heroes, at the time I can recall thinking, 'man,
that's where I want to be, in those shoes'. Honestly I couldn’t say enough, but at the time
I had problems in my life and he just always made me laugh and gave me goals. I was pretty
fat too when I met him, yet he paid special attention to me, making sure I never gave up,
because he saw in my eyes defeat. I couldn’t yet complete a full real push up, but he
showed me the way, letting me gain confidence and esteem I still attribute to him to this day.
He’s always going to be a hero of mine and I know to many others he is as well, that'll never
change. God speed your way Bri, and my sincere condolences to all those who miss him as well."
